The National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) delivers a premier training scheme for journalist students at the University of Sunderland.

The NCTJ diploma is available to students studying on any of our single honours Journalism programmes. All those programmes are accredited by the NCTJ.

Students who pass the seven NCTJ examinations obtain the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, vital for those wishing to pursue a career in the industry.
